Butterflies of Tuvalu and the South Pacific. On 1st May 2000, Tuvalu issued 3 sheetlets of 6 stamps each and two souvenir sheets of one stamp each.

False Ringlet (Coenonympha oedippus), designed by Liechtenstein artist Louis Jaeger (aka Louis Jäger, 1930- ), printed by photogravure (Courvoisier, S.A.), and issued by Liechtenstein on December 6, 1973, Scott No. 536, plus a photo.

Here are images of the six stamps in a set depicting butterflies and moths, designed and engraved (except as noted) by Jirí Antonín Švengsbír (1921-1983), and issued by Czechoslovakia on May 23, 1966, Scott Nos. 1391-96.

Spanish moon moth (Graellsia isabellae), designed by François Guiol (1952- ), and issued by Andorra (French Administration) on July 4, 1987 as one of two stamps in a a nature set, Scott No. 356.
