Thanks Dynamode. Fascinating piece of work. Appreciated.
PS: Had a cursory look at your collection, all seem private punctures, could not recognise any British Official punctures amongst that lot.

Glad you liked the pdf. Thanks for looking at my perfins. One day I will soak the ones on paper, and sort them properly. |

Hi, I have just joined stampcommunity. Is anyone familiar with the perfin WHR? This perfin is on a GB 32, plate 3, which Scott '17 values at $500. How would the perfin affect the value on this stamp? Thanks. |

WHR exists (#379) Unknown owner
Affect value? depends on the purchaser, and the state of the stamp. Possibly the stated price is for a mint unused example, price drops from there
What is a GB32 ? please endeavour to be descriptive.
My records show WHR does not exist on a Queen Victoria stamp.

The effect on monetary value to most collectors will ordinarily be steep because the stamp's been mutilated - set against that will be the interest to one of the much smaller band of perfin collectors. Conversely, an uncommon perfin on a common stamp could well go in the opposite direction. |

Thanks and I just received my perf gauge - I do not know how to use it yet, but I am determined to learn.
So far I have filled about 70 Vario sheets full so that I could protect the Stamps and also to sort by country, date and series - though I could not be sure of everything so it is semi-close for now.
I am enjoying myself, glad that I was lucky to be gifted my Aunt's collection. |
