Yes, no unnecessary wear and tear, he is very easy on cars. I noticed not many american made cars even from the north american residents, maybe,, it's just cause everybody on here is so rich and has luxury cars.

Well I wish I was rich and owned a luxury car, but alas I am not so I am stuck driving a 91 Dodge Dynasty w/ bad cv joints, Tranny that doesn't want to shift half the time and brakes that have just started to squeek at me. I can't gripe too much I only gave $150 for it a year ago and it's still good enough for around town.

Oh, are the squeekers rubbing? Sometimes if it starts squeeking that is a little tab that rubs when the pads wear down, to tell you that the brake pads are getting down.

I don't even know if the brakes on that car have squeekers.

Yeah it's the dreaded squeekers. I have been tempted to break them off but I don't wanna do that cause then I would forget about them until it was too late

Well I am on my 4th Volvo,, This one is the 940 and is 14 years old. It has 228000
on the clock, because I am retired now, my previous was a 740 and when I sold it after 13 years it working condition, it had 450000 on the clock.. I have come to the conclusion that the only replacement for a Volvo is another Volvo

We had a trusty old Israeli Subaru until 6 years ago when
we purchased a year-old-no-miles-on-the-clock Mazda Hatchback from a bankrupt company. No problems at all with this except.......

I have tried to exchange it with Richard for his Bulgaria Collection, but he just isn't biting.

Londonbus1.....It's that damned Volvo !!

Cim, be grateful you do not live in New York state with our annual state inspection and emmissions controls..by the time they were done with your car you could better buy a 2009 model..the check engine light came on on my truck...insufficent catalytic converter..700 dollar job to pass inspection...my mechanic shut off the light a couple of days before inspection and it rolled through the emission machine ok...i gave him a NICE tip..dont think this rich North American wasnt sweating it !!

Rick and Phil Currently in OKlahoma there are NO INSPECTIONS. No safety or emissions inspections. I kind of wish they would start them back up I have some Hoopties from Hades running around town. The other day there was a truck goin down Main street and the ONLY body panels on it was the Right fender, doors and cab back and roof. No hood, left fender or bed. All the lights where wired up on to it and they rolled right past a cop and the cop never did a thing. Go figure, if that had been me they would have thrown the dang book at me. I wouldn't even want to try and figure what all that person would have been wrote up for up North there.

Cim, its the same down in Florida where my dad is...heck they do not even have deposits on drink containers..i guess they have lots of room in the center of the state for landfills..i have watch out for the deputy sheriffs...the troopers and town cops dont bother me but a couple of times I have been followed home from the school when I work because el sheriff heard my free flow performance muffler when I rolled through town.. I try to feather it....the original muffler gave up after 10 years and I decided I wanted the hollywood muffler instead...
