This badly injured red poppy symbolizes the millions of lives lost during the first World War. stamp of 2016. These days the 100th anniversary of the end of that war is being commemorated.

This year's poppy is particularly delicate, but the numerous stalks and the title "100 poppies" shows its relevance for 2018.
