A tiny island with a tiny population, the numbers of stamps issued cannot be high. The stamps may be of interest to someone who collects French overseas territories, or a specialist bird stamper

New Caledonia definitives in use between 1905-28
Kagu bird which is endemic to the forests of New Caledonia, status is vulnerable as its a ground dweller unused to introduced predators.

I found this little beauty in a $35 box of mostly trash stamps ....

You have some nice stamps and cancels, birds are a favorite of mine, and cancels too, although I do not collect birds specifically.

Some 'old' bird stamps- 1931 birds from Territory of New Guinea. This was the first time a Bird of Paradise appeared on a stamp from the island of New Guinea. They were to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Australian mandate over the Territory, & had the dates 1921 & 1931 in the designs.
