I have to agree. I prefer the Scott/Prinz. Prinz mounts tend to be cheaper also. But when it comes to retail locations, I have almost never seen Prinz mounts in a stamp store.

I have to agree. I prefer the Scott/Prinz mounts. The plastic packaging for those mounts is also better storage than the cardboard packaging Showguard provides.

Where do you folks buy your mounts from? I use clear mounts (not black).

Cheers

Last batch I got directly from Amos at amosadvantage.com. Shipping took a while though. If I need stamps right away, I drive the 4 blocks to the local stamp store and buy the Showguards he has there. Sometimes I am just impatient, or if I need only one size it's doesn't save me anything after shipping to go mail order.

I usually buy off of ebay. If I need them in a hurry I go to ihobb.com.

Cool. If I may, how much do you pay for yours? Do you buy pre-cut or the 215mm strips? They're 15 strips per pack usually I think.

I buy both. I think I may stop buying pre-cut mounts, now that I have a cutter and can make perfect cuts (when the blade is sharp, see previous post...).

But I am about to buy a whole mess of stamps from the 1930s, so I may buy some 40x25 pre-cuts just to speed things up.
