It is a beautiful song--check it out on youtube! I have that sheet and appreciate Londonbus for getting it for me! It means soooo much more than just a minisheet of stamp.
Thanks!

Ganesh, the Hindu god of wisdom, from Duttia State in India

All the stamps of Duttia depicted Ganesh. This stamp is unused, by the way: the stamps of Duttia were supposed to receive a control mark in blue, or occasionally black, before they were sold, as a guarantee they were genuine.

Rod,

Nice ones! Were those issued by the American Bible Society?

There is a current ebay auction listing for American Bible Society Poster Stamps of 1940, that includes the "Read the Bible ... The Truth That Makes Men Free" poster stamp as illustrated above, so I would have to assume that is an ABS creation, although I must admit I don't recall having seen that example before:

That's beatiful Londonbus

Diane, I know it was three years ago, but did you say that on purpose? 'Beatiful', nice papal pun!

Anyway, here's a Christmas label I think I've shown before.

Went looking for more. I found lots with Jesus, Mary, Pope Paul, Bodhisattva, Gita, even Lenin, Elvis and the Beatles.
But in the end I think George Harrison sang it best,"It's what you value"

Hello Beezer,
sorry, would not have a clue,
they come across my desk, and I hinge them
but never seen a catalogue adressing them ever.

I remember the saint stamps from when I attended.
Sunday School.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting the Adoration of the Magi, designed after a somewhat obscure painting by Italian artist Jacopo Bassano (1510-1592), known also as Jacopo dal Ponte, who often treated biblical themes in the manner of rustic genre scenes, featuring genuine country folk and portraying animals in interesting ways. This stamp was engraved by Antonio Ciaburro, and issued by Italy on October 28, 2006 in time for Christmas mailings, Scott No. 2778.

PS: rod222 - Note the goofy- but benevolent-looking elephant in the background.
