1898 One Quarter Cent Inter REV Proprietary Flower Cancel?

Additionally, there was a "book" put out by the ARA some years ago called Proprietary Revenues of 1898 Precanceled Varieties by Chappell. It is a bit harder to find but both Eric and Richard have had it in stock in recent years.

Funny coincidence. I recently noticed a 1/4c battleship on hipstamp with the same cancel (**) I popped it in my cart but was wondering what it was. Later while browsing here I see this resurrected thread from 2012 that answers my question.

Last night I went to pay for some stamps in my cart, but I see that one has already sold.

There is a published catalog of the Battleship precancels: Proprietary Revenues of 1898 Precanceled Varieties by Morton Dean Joyce, published by the American Revenue Association in 1957.
