Marianas Islands, via Guam, to Germany] Early registered cover with two singles of Guam 5c Blue overprint (#5) tied by oval of dots, matching "Marianas/17 Aug" c.d.s., German registry label with ms. "Registered No. 6 D2028", boxed "Cerif", on reverse is red "Mil. Sta. No. 1 Philippine Isls, Registered/Sep 14, 1899", "Hong Kong Sp 17 99" transit and "Aue/21 10 99" receiver, cover with a small tear and edge faults at top, fine; an important Guam cover showing the Spanish, German and American influences, as well as probably being the earliest registered cover out of U.S. Guam.

I do read Spanish, and would love to be able to read it. Even if I expand the page, I still can't quite make out all the words.
