Hi BeeSee. There is a system on ebay to set for one mailing charge for multiple items but it does not work. It was made dysfunctional some years ago. The way the system is set up is for free mailing so ebay can get a FVF on the built in mailing cost that is added to the cost of the lot. We dug very deeply into this issue and looked for a lot of help from ebay forum etc. I am sorry if I have misunderstood your comment BeeSee. |

KGV, I use ebay.com and I have my default settings showing the amount for postage to Canada, US and International, and I set an option for free shipping for additional items and it worked as recent as last month. I have nothing for sale now, I will see if I can find a screen shot. |

I think I know what was wrong! We were treated as aliens(eBay's term) on .com and ebay slowly stopped many functions to work for us. To the point we had to start again as a .com.au store. No wonder I get it all confused a bit. It was a nightmare that lasted from June to last week and that was from the piont of total shut down on .com We had many troubles for all of this year as I think about it. I am so glad it is all behind us. It is hard to do battle with the ebay computer system. |

We would set that area and ebay would over ride the settings. But I seem to remember there was also a setting that stopped the automatic invoice that ebay sends out. This included a mailing cost for each items. But again it could of been because we were aliens. |

Ebay(dot)ca for Canadians has the exact same shipping feature, but I usually use ebay.com, they have not made us aliens yet I wonder why you can't use the additional shipping option in Australia. |

I find this all a bit confusing, but important. I'll re read it tommorow, Thanks. I am pleased to have ordered an ebay for dummies book. I think I'll adopt some vendors preamble where they advise.. "Please wait for an invoice" etc |

Rod,
I believe in almost every instance when I've purchased multiple lots from sellers offering combined shipping I have had to email them and request an invoice reflecting the adjustment.

Hi BeeSee I would think now we are an Aust ebay store all functions would be open to us but we really like our free mailing option. Sadly the cost on .com of 10c & 25c for auction listing costs 50c on .com.au So we are now 95% Buy It Now at a listing cost of 20c in the price range mentioned. Oh how I miss my beloved .com |
