Trinidad & Tobago 2000 Christmas - Ginger beer & sorrel drink.
The sorrel drink is a traditional Christmas drink made from sepals of roselle flowers, and often spiked with rum for the adults.

I thought I'd share a couple very old U.S. revenue stamps related to this topic. These are both large size taxpaid stamps. The Wholesale Liquor Dealer stamp was issued in 1871 and shows Mercury surrounded by brandy casks and distilling equipment including a worm. The other is for Imported Spirits, 1879 series (unissued), showing more casks surrounded by fruit.

Located 60km inland from Cape Town and just north of Stellenbosch, it is home to some of the best-known wineries in the Western Cape province.
