These 1955 anti-tuberculosis (Christmas) seals from the Ryukyu Islands feature a traditional, handcrafted horse and rider.

Ireland issued a set of four "anniversaries" stamps on March 2, 1994. The 38p value (SC #921) of this set commemorates the centenary of the founding of the Irish Co-operative Organization Society by Sir Horace Plunkett (1854-1932). Being an agriculturalist, Plunkett began organizing the Society with the creamery industry. Horse-drawn milk wagons are featured in the stamp's design.

Mexico issued a set of 10 stamps and one souvenir sheet of similar, stylized designs for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. The 2000 peso stamp (Sc #1747) depicts an equestrian event

On November 14, 1957 India issued a set a three stamps for Children's Day. The high value 90 paise stamp (Sc #294) depicts a Bankura horse.
