Well to me a socked on the nose cancel SON is a bullseye type cancel that puts the whole cancel clearly on the stamp..town name, month day and year of the cancel..most people will recognize them when they see them...many postal clerks in Western Europe take pride in putting a bullseye on the stamp !!

Phil:

I saw that Guat stamp with the SON cancel and knew you'd like it!

Glad the packet got to your place all right.

I'm curious. Any stamp with Euro-something on it goes to Jopie. Does she know what that German stamp I sent honours?

David
