Not to hijack your thread, but the Maplewood group is a great group. They have 30 to 50 people attend each meeting. I have made many friends there. Tom does a fantastic job with the auctions. He mixes in a little humor, usually bad puns or old stale jokes, but he is such a likeable guy you can't help but laugh. When Louie does a presentation it is always very funny. He does a little stand up comedy in his "away from stamp life" and he brings it to his presentations. I have been going for 15 years and I am a little sad that the new meeting date does not work well with my work schedule, but that could change.

As far as dealers at Snowpex go, I have not been able to find Dave. I think last year they had a dozen.

If possible I think a SCF meeting would be great. If I remember correctly I believe you are correct about the number of dealers. I can do either day at any time so let me know if anyone would like to meet up for some chat & Coffee or Beer.

A meeting would be great. I am good for Saturday. How about noon? I'll be the guy with the grey hair.

Pjsstamps, You just described 90% of the guys who will show up! LOL

I'll be the one without hair! The other 10%!

I'll wear a hat, a fedora!

Yeah, I know that's why I typed it,(my weak attempt at humor) however Smauggie does not have grey hair. What percent is he at a stamp show? I'm not wearing a hat. I still plan to get there about noon.

I'm not sure if I will be at the show tomorrow, but it would be fun to meet some from this group. I agree that if you haven't checked out the Maplewood Club yet, you should! I hear that there are great birthday presents :)

Getting together was a nice idea. I was there until 1:00 and did not find any of you guys. We should plan more in advance for the next show.

I got there right after 1pm, stayed until about 3pm and for the 2nd time in a row was pretty disappointed. Only about 6-8 dealers, prices through the roof and thin pickings.

I got a few covers from the dollar boxes. This was the best, Montana Territory to Washington Territory for just a buck.

I still enjoy going just to visit as much as anything.

I was there Sat from 12:15-1245. There were a large number of people about so it seem ackward to walk up to someone and ask "Are you pjsstamps?" LOl I was tired and did not have my list so I left early. Came back Sunday at 10AM collected about 40 items at 3 tables! Not bad!
A Get together is still in order we'll work it out.
