Steve - thank you for this post. This is nice to hear. Any other information or details that you have about the Zenith Stamp Company would be great! - Anything at all you would like to post would be welcome and interesting to us collectors.

I was asked about Albanian stamps by someone in your group. and my Dad says that he never printed any and wasn't involved in Albanian stamps. He's been out of the business for many years, and at age 93, not really engaged in much activity. But, his memory is great.

Would really love it Steve if he would consider sharing some of his stories and memories with us - they no doubt would be absolutely fascinating

Thanks ----Steve ,They really did a service to getting kids past just buying penny stamps at the local 5 and 10 store . It was thru these type of approval firms that I got stamps from countries that were empty pages in my albums and got me interested in complete sets .So they with all those negative comments we throw at them ,did in fact move a lot of first time collectors up a level in the hobby .Tell your dad thanks ....he help me move on to a better collection.

Hi, as one who started collecting in the mid 1950s, might I add.........

The Littleton's, Zenith, Mystic, and others got a lot of kids hooked on the hobby. The approval process was a blessing or a curse (usually both) to many. But without those companies, I - and I suspect many, many others - would not give a hoot about the hobby today.

That was me, and thank you for checking into this. And yes, any stories your dad might have about the business in those days would be great.
