I confirm the communication is bad. Could speak on the phone with the philatelic manager, sent some money (THEY WANT CASH) confirmed receipt but nothing came back so far. I ordered a catalogue which apparently has been published couple of years ago.
In the past I used to receive regular issues and the service was reasonable but slow... let's hope its still the case.

update. Have received TODAY by email confirmation that my letter (sent April 25th) has been received and I should soon get my catalogue and stamps.
4 months for a registered letter. Not bad. But.... and the verbal confirmation of receipt of a few weeks ago?

Will keep posted

I was born in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, but all my family left over 50 years ago: some back to Italy, some to Australia, some to the US, Canada and UK! A mini-explosion!

I found that it is a hard country to collect: all I have is an illegal m/s of Fritz Willis nudes (posted elsewhere on here, but I can't find where, it may have been removed) and a few of the colonial issues from Italy. I find Ethiopia easier to collect and Eritrea was part of it for a while.
