The problem, of course, is to know which is right. Scott has apparently illustrated the 1921 postal-fiscal of Charkhari with a notorious, and ridiculous, forgery for years:



This is a reasonably uncommon and expensive stamp, when genuine:



(Gibbons prices it at £90)

I've grown heartily sick of correcting misguided ebay sellers offering the common fakes for the rare stamp, on the basis of Scott. I don't bother anymore
