1932 - Ralph Kimble - The Stamp Man - Ripon Stamp Club

That is very cool. A little bit of history.

Hi folks, I have not posted in a very long time, as I am not now active in our hobby, but I have been in contact with Mr Kimble's son and it will be my pleasure to send him that postcard. What a great story all of this is.

My Dad, Ralph Kimble, often said to me "Stamp collectors are among the nicest people in the world". And he knew a lot of people. Mr. Hunter is a perfect example of this, and I thank him for proving my Dad right again.

Reviving this older thread as rdavid (Ralph Kimble's son) and I live in the same town and are good friends and philatelic friends.

He provided the stamps to form "Kimble's Postal Calendar", which has a date postmark for every day of the year using WW classical era stamps.
Many of the stamps were from his father's holdings.
