I may be the most probable potential buyer for now in this forum, I am a Chinese and live in Tangshan City, distance 160 km from your place-qhd(Qin Huang Dao City) in China, according to your member information.

You took the collection from Jordan to China? Show me the photos including you with your collection, you have 12 hours to prepare the photos.

After that, I must say I can not afford to buy all of them, I will pick some also need you are in the photos with what pages I choose.

Best regards,
ZhangCheng

Same, your collection should go to a major auction house and they will break down the collection. I would not sell it as a whole since it would bring far more money selling it off in small chunks / pieces.

An auction house in Singapore might be a good choice - plenty of interest in Chinese stamps, but a broader range of world collectors - and a reliable postal system.

Thank You Zhang Cheng..you are the voice of reason..this is an easy forum to gain access to and the people are trusting of other stamp people..to date we have been fortunate that no one has been seriously scammed..but if they are there is little that can be done beyond banning them from the forum !

Agree 100%.

Let me get this straight. Mr. Same, a Chinese national, manages to exit China with a $50-100K stamp collection; he then travels 4,000 miles to bring his collection into Jordan, a country with extremely tight border controls, and presently a real hell-hole, a country whose infrastructure and social services are threatening to collapse, due to tens of thousands of incoming Syrian refugees.

Mr. Same departs the most sophisticated acupuncture practitioners in the world, in China, in order to get "free" treatment in Jordan. The stamps must be sold intact for $50,000 which eliminates 99.99% of potential buyers. Is this a fair summary?

Same I really like to buy your collection, I will give you the amount of money you want CA$H . What you need to do is fly to Canada with the stamps at your expense . Then I will look at them and make the money exchange. I will reimburse all your travel expenses to travel to Canada weather I buy the stamps or not. Could there be a possibility that you can mail a few to me to have a look at if I don't want them I will return then to you.

It sure looks like a fun group of stamps to go through, but I would never fork out that kind of money unless there are certificates accompanying key items. Several of the key items on the page of Spanish stamps are suspect at best, even without a closeup scan. Even if the OP did pay $160k for this stuff I think $50k is a bit optimistic. I also think only a dealer would be willing to buy them all. Most collectors, even a collector of classic worldwide, doesn't have a need for so much duplication. At least that would be my feeling if I was a WW collector. Like others have said it's probably better to parcel it off, maybe in country lots. Again, looking at the Spanish page, if it was sold by itself, I would expect $150-$200 given the suspect nature of the key issues. That's going by what I have seen for comparable Spanish lots on ebay. Maybe a bigger auction house could get more out of it.
