New Auction / For Sale Section Is Up And Running.

This will replace the auction and sale section and is complete with a feedback system. I will start moving all the sale topics to the ended section shortly. They will still be visible so you can copy descriptions and image urls.

Auctions are self-explanatory. Please note that sniping is allowed, but there is no proxy bidding system which makes sniping tougher. What you bid is what you pay regardless of what underbidders bid.

In a "Pocket It Now" listing you may clearly state that you will accept trades or offers. This will be handled using the "Ask Seller a Question" link privately. When an agreement is reached, the buyer must click the "Pocket It Now" button in the listing to close the deal. Keep in mind that while negotiating, the listing will still be live and another member could buy the item. The member who processes the transaction through the listing is the winner. That's the member that will be able to leave feedback, so if you sell to someone else, you may get bad feedback and we will not remove it.

I added some basic categories and do realize we will need more, I'll need your help with that.

It needed a lot of rewriting from the coin side because of the different databases used. Please report any bugs you find in the support section.

Also, for now you no longer need to be a supporter to sell. But we did raise the post count for selling to 100, buying remains at 50.

I did a test bid, which worked fine. The text box suggested a dollar raise, from 0.13 to 1.13. I manually entered 0.16 and it took it just fine.

I see the smiley tells me I'm high bidder...there doesn't seem to be any other indication of the bidder's i.d. (I don't know that there needs to be...I'm just mentioning it.)

You *should* get an email when outbid also.

I tried it out and did, indeed, receive an e-mail when I was outbid.

I'm not familiar with the operation of the Coin forum auctions.

Does the system generate an invoice and send it to the winning bidder/pocket it now buyer or is that up to the seller to do via the forum?

On PIN (Pocket it Now) listings both trading partners will be sent an email right away "from" the other trading partner when purchased so you will be able to reply directly to them.

Auctions you will have to monitor, but there are email links right in the listings when they end.

The outbid email showed up practically instantly.

There's a couple test listings. Waiting for some members to transfer some sale items from the sales forum. It's pretty easy to launch a listing.
