It was a good bit of work. Copied the files from the coin forum but the coin forum uses a completely different type database so the code is different. Then started testing and taking every error one at a time... diagnosing and correcting as we go. Took about 10 days to get the bugs out. There's still at least one bug left but it involves feedback so it doesn't affect the running of the listings themselves. I've got about 6 hours into this feedback bug already.

Who is that dog trying to eat? A rival football player? ;-)

That is a Michael Vick (nfl quarterback) doll who was convicted and jailed for a Pit Bull dog fighting ring. Payback.

Yipes! Both for all that hard work, and a great bit of info on the doggy photo!

I've just added some instructions to the listing form....

Quote:
Description and Images Made Easy!

First, Click here to open a new forum post in the promotion forum. It will open in a new tab or window and will not disturb your listing form.

Now you can type your item description and upload images just like you do in a regular forum post.

Do not post the topic on the forum yet, just copy and paste your post into the description box in the listing form in the other tab/window.

Now find the image url that you want to use for the main image url in the description box and copy and paste that into the "Main Image Location" box in the listing form.

Fill out the rest of the form and proceed to post the listing.

Once the listing is posted, copy the url of the listing and paste it into the post you made in the other tab/window and post the topic.

Now you have created a listing and a forum post to promote it all at once!

Once you do it once or twice you'll see how easy it is.

Just a note - my first batch of auctions ended this afternoon, and it is rather confusing trying to figure out what sold and what didn't. There are a few ways to view "my listings", but each pages shows something different. One version shows "winner @" with no actual bidders. One shows every listing with the $ in black, no green (with bids). Hard to explain... It just seems hard to figure out what really sold and what didn't, what had bids and what didn't.

I dunno... maybe I am just too used to ebay! ;-)

Also, some sort of check out setup would be a huge help.
