Some of my listing price will change dramatically over the 7 days of the listing.

Have had many item sell for a higher price with a relist.

Interesting that we develop a strategy when buying & selling on line.

One difference between an ebay reserve and a regular auction reserve is that ebay tells you immediately that the reserve is not met. This is more likely to anger a bidder and makes ebay reserves less friendly I think. I don't have a solution for it since not telling also gives the wrong impression. My point is that reserves on ebay make bidders unhappy and probably less likely to bid again.

Granted, I have seen that also. "Know your dealer" I have been using a fellow for over 7 years, and I base my first reaction on 25% of Scott.
If his/her lot is below, I'll hop on, otherwise I take the punt that it will not sell, and a price will drop later.

I have an ebay trigger for "Cinderella", 1 fellow has been advertising a "Cinderella Book" for now, going on 4 years....I get his listing whenever he re-lists
Same price for 4 years...not sold.
I just don't get it, sometimes.

Once long ago I bid in a hidden reserve auction on ebay. It was a stamp I really wanted, I met the reserve and "won" the stamp although later I felt as if I had just bided against the seller not other bidders. Never again.
