Bumping this thread again to comment that, per my earlier comments, the covers add variety to the albums, so I don't aim for completeness but just variety to show that the single stamps alongside them actually had a postal use.

I make an exception for my Provinces issues (N.B., P.E.I. and N.S. where so few stamps were issued that to actually assemble a really interesting collection, you have to find multiples and covers. However, they are really getting expensive, so it is a very slow process.

In my Newfoundland collection, I am really trying to build a cover collection of the 1919 "Trail of the Caribou" issue. Don't see them on cover all that often, especially the high values.

One of my main interests is fancy cancels on US stamps of the 1800's. If the cancel is on a stamp, the best example is a well-centered complete strike on the stamp (SOTN - Socked On The Nose). If on a cover, it is best to have the cancel "tie" the stamp to the cover. This provides a better basis for the cancel authenticity, as well as identifying the origin and timeframe of the cancel.

I would like to get hold of some Egypt Nefertiti stamps on postally used covers. I rarely see them. I have lots of mint and used stamps and only one un-addressed cover. I would dearly love to get the ŁE1 green on a postally used cover.

Edited fir typo. TC.
