I remember, this was all over the news back in October. The second item that really bugs me is what she did with the plastic strip that holds bundles of mail together. She just discarded it without noticing where it went. I keep finding those straps on the road all the time when I walk the dogs. Is that not called littering?

Come now people... what you don't see in this grainy video are the dozen or so diamondback rattlesnakes hidden in the grass. Clearly she is helping out this poor fellow by running them over and saving the day before she moves on with her regular daily duties. |

She should have one of those things for grabbing stuff off high shelves or a pizza peel with an extra long handle. She could stay in the truck and avoid those 6 or 7 steps she was forced to take.
To be fair, my mailman walks most of the route, always comes at the same time in any weather (it's about 0 F right now) and puts packages that won't fit in my mailbox in the enclosed porch rather than on the stoop. I've only had one stamp damaged in the mail, and that's because it got soaking wet long before it reached my mailbox. |

My mail box is right on the curb next to my sidewalk. Occassionally I have parked my truck on the street for one reason or another. When doing that, I do not block the mail box, but the mail person (he or she) can't just drive right up to the box, deposit the mail without getting out of their vehicle, and drive on. Now, they have taken the time to write me a testy note notifying me that I can't block the mail box and If I do, they won't deliver the mail--I'll hve to go to the post office to get it,---AND THEN----they will park, get out of their little truck, and place the note in my mail box---but not my mail. (Its a pretty rare occassion I do park my truck on the curb too.) |

she should be fired. I went to the P.O. two days ago and ask the Clerk for one stamp of everything he had available. He said. That will be .46cents. I ask him if he only had one type of stamp and he said no. I stated again that I would like to have one stamp of each that he had available. That if some were on sheets I would just take the whole sheet. He said do you realize how long that would take me to add them up. I told him Take your time. I can come back in a couple hours or tomorrow. He said no I can't do that. I ask why not? He said I have over 50 different stamps. I told him to just forget it. It's no wonder the P.O. is going broke. With the Lazy fat lady driving on the people's lawn delivering mail and the clerk I just crossed paths with. The P.O. needs to go out of business. They both should be fired! |

Wow - I also usually speak up for the USPS to many people, telling them it is the best in the world. But between this lay-zeeeeee carrier and the Nashville P.O. shredding all of those children's books, I am beginning to wonder. |

Most post offices, especially the smaller ones, are staffed by friendly, knowledgeable people. While I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, the local post office was terrible. This was an off-base office, in Oak Grove, KY. There were reports of stolen and missing items continuously, and most of it sourced from one specific female hispanic deliverywoman. Before we had any issues with her ourselves, she spoke clear english. Then my wife had several packages of high value items off of ebay go missing, and suddenly she spoke nary a word of english. We filed an inquiry multiple times, only to have it closed without being contacted or any sort of genuine search being conducted. So my wife finally got into the office directly and confronted the manager. This was all before we found out about the particular female driver's list of complaints. The manager was able to trace both packages (and at a later time, even a third package) to being picked up by this particular driver and placed inside her vehicle. From there the trail died, no record of delivery. The driver claimed ignorance of the matter, and after a year of us fighting this mess was never fired. But from then on she would never look me in the eye when delivering mail (I was usually at home for the delivery time) or speak english around me any more. So if anyone here happens to end up going to/being stationed at Ft. Campbell, be sure to get a PO box on the base itself. They're much better there. |

As probably one of the younger members on this board, I don't have the life experience to remember days of good service or nice people and relationships, instead everyone I deal with can't take those 2 steps like here, or everything is automated, but poorly programmed. Since I've yet to deal with any organization that hasn't given me a problem in at least 2 years, I bought a notebook for a paper-trail of my dealings. The problems too widespread and big that I've stopped giving a free pass to be walked over. My point is, if it's egregious, everyone should be complaining. Having video is great. She didn't even place the box down, she tossed it after all of this!
