This set was the first set that I remember saving. Still love looking at them.

The 10c 1861, aka Scott 62B and 68. My father was a big collector of them and exhibited his collection numerous times. Via my father I got to meet some amazing collectors and dealers that he was friends with and that's how I got into 1861s...

My father was a salesman working out of the home - when I was young I remember all these packages ariving at the house with a mix of the Prominent American's series from the 60's as postage. I still have a large collection of these that were soaked off paper when I started collecting around 8-9 years of age.

The first country that I collected was Australia because I was given a packet of Australian stamps with my first album as a birthday present.
