FYI. If there are any Australia Stationery Collectors, there is a new Australia Catalog out. Just got my copy in yesterday. OUTSTANDING item! If interested go over to "General Philatelic Discussions" to "Postal Stationery Catalogs (or Lack Thereof) Rant" and get details. No need to double post this. |

Makanudo,
The card looks like the style of card issued in 1958 issued in Germany -West Berlin. The language in the stamped corner is very similar to that used in the American & British occupations zones after the war. It will take me a while longer to find the reason the two are combined, but that will have to wait until I have some time this coming weekend. Intersting card. This card was used in 1959 with a Munchen (Munich) handstamp in 1959. Will research that as well. |

Here is an unusual item (2 postal cards, two values, one catalog number) issued 1957 in ISRAEL with a H&G # of F-1. It has 2 postal cards of different values. I suppose in a more up to date catalog someone gives them a "a" and "b" sub-number if seperated. Size: 140 x 100 mm Anyway, enjoy, a nice card (s): |

Additional info on Israel card. There is NO gum on the reverse side. These appear to be just issued/printed as a pair, and are designed to tear apart and mailed as two seperate airmail postal cards. |

https://goscf.com/t/36613&whichpage=57#585146Makanudo - Is it perhaps the message that might be of interest to you? Here goes: Sehr geehrter Herr Verner!Dear Mr. Verner,Ihre Karte hatte ich wunschgemäss am 27.6. zurück gesandt,I sent your card back on June 27 as desiredwenngleich ich wegen der Frankatur befürchtete, sie könnte nicht befördert werden.although I feared it might not be delivered because of the franking.Darf ich einmal nachfragen, ob für den Brief mit Serbien K.u.K. noch Aussicht besteht.May I just ask if there is still any hope for the letter with Serbia K.u.K.?Ich hatte mich schon so sehr darauf gefreut und meine Sammlung in der froher Erwartung bereits umgebaut.I had been looking forward to it so much and already rebuilt my collection in the joyful expectation.Hoffentlich hatten Sie mich nicht vergessen.I hope you did not forget me.Mit den besten GrüssenWith best regardsPost scriptum on the address side: Übrigens fehlt mir auch noch Bosnien M 1 auf Brief oder Karte.Incidentally, I also miss Bosnia M 1 on letter or card.Falls sie mir eine beschaffen könnten.Just in case you could get me one. |

Novi Sad is a very large city (it is a 2nd most populous city in Serbia - just after Belgrade - about 300.000 inhabitants are living in Novi Sad today)... however, more then 100.000 inhabitants have living in Novi Sad even back in late 1950's.
So... really... just an initial and the surname... without a single address line?? If it hasn't been delivered to the correct person, I am afraid that it was more than "because of the franking".
Maybe the sender has had an intention to send as a "Poste Restante", but that kind of service & handling should be clearly specified just below the name of recipient...
