Koala, when looking for special areas for Canadian stamps, I start by going on RBC site ( http://brcstamps.com/candef.html) which provides direct links to e-bay based on specific era of Canadian philately. (on the right column of the home page). Try it, very easy and fast |

On the subject of ebay I have some concerns. Last night I was perusing Canadian stamps. Some of them were offered at prices way outside that of Unitrade. For example, a mint Victoria stamp, was offered for about 5 pounds (England), and the seller said it was worth over 100. I looked it up and this stamp would have gone for over $200 Cdn. This is not an isolated example. What is going on here? I have noticed this on other online auction sites as well. |

I haven't paid catalog value for stamps in years. I always get them for less than catalog. Last week I won a 2 cent Large Queen with watermark for $19.99. Watch for bargains they are out there. |

I will start a new topic on perforated pence issue and share what I have there. I don't have any duplicates I can part with right now. |

watermark : I am now working on my page #1 of the collection. This page refers to imperf stamp. I don't mind getting some perf along the way. Those stamps are very expensive and of course, I don't want to sell my house... but I am open to any offer and see from there. If you have some to sale/trade, let me know I looked at your topic and what you have... is a treasury chest, nothing less |

koala - one option for you is to go for either proofs or specimens both are beautiful to look at, an not nearly as expensive as the "real" thing. As an example, look at the estimated prices for proofs vs. used vs. mint in an auction such at this one: http://stampauctionnetwork.com/rm/rm505.cfmlook, for example, at lots 326-395 |
