Winston Churchill's Victory sign became known the world over. He died 50 years ago today. The stamp was issued by the Emirate of Fujeira, located on the eastern side of the Emirate peninsula.  |

Hands of Athletes: The javelin throw requires a powerful and precise grip as well as a very strong arm. In the picture on this airmail stamp from Spanish Guinea the javelin's flight and that of the fighter squad are both precise.  |

Hands of artists - conductor Robert Stolz (1880-1975)
Robert Stolz was an Austrian songwriter and conductor as well as a composer of operettas and film music.
He composed music for the first German sound film Zwei Herzen im Dreivierteltakt (Two Hearts in Waltz Time). |
