Argentina (2011) used the drawing of a nine-year old to illustrate "Stop violence against children". ((Tants, the design on your stamp(s) is quite dramatic and brings in the world-wide aspect! K.))

Sengaparile or devil's claw (Harpagophytum sp.) is found in the Kalahari and Savannah desert regions of South and Southeast Africa including Botswana. In these parts of the world, devil's claw has historically been used to treat a wide range of conditions, such as illnesses of the joints as seen in the hand holding seeds.

In 2014 Israel issued a set of pretty stamps calling attention to sign language, not only for the deaf. Note several written languages. (The thread already has many contributions about sign language, indicating how important it is.)

New Zealand issued a small set of 'special events' stamps in 2005; this one celebrates a child's birth. I was wondering what the bit of fern leaf was doing on newer New Zealand issues and found that the silver fern has become an emblem for that country. Silver ferns grow as big as trees - the undersides of the leaves are silvery.

The painting in which these two hands can be seen is so famous it doesn't even need naming (see earlier pages here for more of them). The stamp honors the Red Crescent.
