Wert,

You do start some rather good light-hearted topics.......and place them all in Canada !

Please start to look for other places to post these threads as until now they have been for all countries. It looks rather odd in Canada.

Thanks and keep up the fun threads.

Wert, I wish you would do something for us folks who are not fortunate enough to be Canadian? When you post one like that could you also include a scan of an original so we can see what all the hoopla is all about?
By the way, I love that stamp, makes me want to move there!

Peter

Surely one of the rarest stamps ever: Penny red, with red omitted.

Robert,
Sure, I made it for all to enjoy. Since you are a bit of a geek (like me) I'll add this on how it was done…
Unlike most CGI this the application I used actually generates 'particles' to generate complex effects like smoke, fire, snow. You tweak the physical attributes of the particles and add them to 'emitters' to achieve different type effects. This gives you control over things like their gravity, life duration, dimension, other forces, range, etc.

I never did like the Mackennal head. So I googled 'Stamps I don't like' one cold and rainy day and they duly obliged with this very appropriate specimen !

A perfect Perfin, one might say.

Okay, I'll bite. Londonbus forgive a naive and ignorant question. I first thought that the perfin you show was a joke created by someone with far too much time on his hands, but I am beginning to think it may be legitimate. Which is it? With apologies for being truly ignorant.
