Hi,
At present I have not enter a single stamp of mine in Excel or
any other Database programs. Except Scanning my Holding as scans.
I follow dogh222usa way I like that it is easy to do in window explorer. reason was that I have significant Stamps from
INDIA,USA,UNO,CANADA in some other scattered countries.
Collection from 1955 to date. Taking Advantage of Picasso, ACDsee
and Fast Stone Image viewer.
Folders in These programs Hold images. I agree with mobileman
that huge inventory entering data is time costly for few stamps it is ok.
At the same time Computer can update data in short time (Depending
Data) automatically. if Proper tables and script or macro or VBA or SQl.

Edited: To check time taken to add records in my File table
I ran VBA Procedure to list all folders, Subfolders and files from my C: drive. I took 10 min and 14 seconds 229014 records.

tiktihindi.
