Thanks Jon Actually I have been thinking about redesigning my album pages to make them a little more "professional looking." While the beautiful thing about digital albums is the ability to change the design, but.... the thought of doing it for more than 700 pages is a daunting task. However, as I keep making new albums, then it will only be a bigger task.
Ugh
I think for now I will keep the priority in continuing to develop new albums, as I have so many more stamps I need to organize. Maybe introduce the new design along the way for newly created albums, and slowly retrofit the old ones over time.

DCStamps, what a project! I hate to inform you, though, you are missing one country: Confederate States of America. |

Hi Stampman The Confederate States of America is indeed on my list of Dead Countries http://www.dcstamps.com/list-of-dead-countries/, check under North America. While I have made 200 albums, it is less than a third of the countries on my total list. I haven't made an album for the CSA yet, primarily because I only have one stamp from the country. I usually don't make an album until I have enough stamps to at least fill a good number of spaces. Michael |

Here are a couple more select digital album pages from my Dead Country Collection Netherlands Indies - you can see that in come cases (when I have representative stamps) I try and show how to distinguish varieties. |

When the Japanese occupied the Netherlands Indies in WW2, they separated the islands into three separate administrative regions: Java, Sumatra, and Borneo and the Great East. The third was controlled by the Japanese Navy. Here is my digital album page for Japanese controlled Java. |

Nicely done, DC. The images showing the varieties move it up a notch toward being a reference tool as well as a collection. ;-) The Dutch colony postage dues have quite a bunch of types that I have never seen well illustrated like this, so most of the collections I see have half of them wrong. |

Michael - Absolutely wonderful Neth Indies pages, thanks for showing them. The detail of showing the difference in small holes versus large holes (perforation) goes to show you do the little extra to make your pages unique. |

Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Although I don't purposefully collect varieties, when I have them, I try to show how to distinguish them. Also, in some albums, I have shown how to distinguish counterfeits -- again, only if I have good examples of both genuine and counterfeits in my collection to properly illustrate the difference.
