DUDLEY -----How do you like that call I posted over a month ago ,that someone on the East Coast is going to make a major move . Sure enough Michael Roger which is part of Daniel Kelleher on the East Coast just made a big jump into early U.S. for their On-Line Auctions .The part not disclosed is who has been signed up from Regency to be part of the firm ,but that is coming .

Floor - I know tjos is a little different tpic than your, but I've heard MR/Kelleher did not get any of Regency's stock.

APS had noted the loss of their advertising as an impact.

... and it is underwhelming thus far. A lot of the material is faulty, which naturally makes a more advanced buyer wonder if the faults have been under-described, or the positive aspects puffed-up, to induce bids. Pricing for those items is, in my view, optimistic. But that's just my subjective reaction, others may think it's fine.

RE: Regency Superior Auction :Between August 2016 to January 2017 I consigned $5000 worth of coins,which were sold as per RS statement.
To this date,I have not been paid,instead I received a letter from Mr.Kols,the President,stating that he has cancer and there will not be enough money for me to be paid.

It is things like this that really don't inspire collector confidence in stamp organizations like the ASDA and their seal of approval endorsement. Reminds one of an investment news flyer that one once got from a big investment bank years ago touting how great of an investment ENRON was. See:

A-Mark Auctions through the sale of Superior Stamps is now a Regency shareholder. In a continuing effort to expand its business nationally, Regency has bought the venerable auction house which has been in business over 70-years. Both Regency and Superior will maintain their current locations and identities, securing their strong presence in the Midwest and West Coast. Administration and marketing will be moved to St. Louis, and Alan Lipkin who ran Superior's operation as vice president under A-Mark has now been given the title of senior vice president and will continue in the same capacity in Beverly Hills.

At FLOORTRADER STAMP AUCTIONS , we have the same policies as every other stamp firm . We make our money the old fashion way, we screw only those who don't know how the game is played .
We handle important members of the stamp community fairly honestly especially if they know people and have ASDA or APS memberships . Now if Joe Farmer of Iowa or Brain dead who lives in a old aged home consigns material to us . First we pick thru it and take out what we want before giving it to our lotting people to write it up for auction . Then we put a low estimate on it ,so our buyers can see a few bargains in the auction .
The material that we own in the auction all have higher reserves and if a buyer is dumb enough to put a high bid in on it ,then they get it at the maximum bid level . Hey were not stupid and we know how to keep the lawyers away . If it is our material you pay the max but if it belongs to someone else then bargins can be found .
We also list material that we own under my wife, my kids ,my mother and fathers name lots of different consignors. This all helps hide ownership and throws off the investigators .

The irony here is that if you search for the term 'consignment' on this forum you will find countless threads where we recommended to people to place their stamps on consignment.
