Hi - welcome to stamp collecting! I hope you find it as interesting and enjoyable as the rest of us in the group. You might want to start out with a beginner world-wide album and some stamp hinges. While there are many world-wide albums to choose from, I recommend one of the basic albums. If you find you really enjoy the hobby, you will outgrow your first album and start a lifelong quest as we all have here in this group.

Many of us here started with H.E. Harris Explorer or Traveler albums, but there are others out there. They are inexpensive and can even be found at some hobby or book shops. They are also available online from many retailers including ebay, often with a kit that will include stamp hinges, a collecting guide, a magnifying glass, and perhaps a packet of stamps. For a relatively low price it gives you all the basics to get started.

Enjoy!
Paul

Blaamand- Thank you for the advice! I am just blown away by the historical aspect of stamps. You are correct about being introduce to countries that I have never heard of, countries that are no longer around. So cool!!

Paul- Thank you for the advice! I'm going to start with learning more about these stamps and by then I will probably venture further into the world of stamps :-) It's a nice break; from today's digital environment back to the realm of the tangible.
