The new postage stamp Ukraine Mriya "Ukrainian Dream" was issued just yesterday on the 28th of June. The image on the stamp is based on a drawing of 11year-old Sofia Kravchuk from the Volyn region. It illustrates the world's largest Antonov An-225 Mriya aircraft which has been manufactured in Kyiv in 1988.
The girl's drawing won the All-Ukrainian drawing and photography contest last year as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
The aircraft was destroyed on February 27, 2022, at Hostomel airport. In the drawing, the world's largest and most powerful aircraft AN-225 Mriya, decorated with pink flowers, flies to the stars.
Interestingly, the new stamp has a U letter denomination, which has never been used before. Maybe that is because they stopped issuing postage stamps with letter denominations Z and V. But I am not sure yet.
