On September 27, 1999 Faroe Islands issued a single-pane booklet of six, 4.50 kroner stamps (Facit #366) depicting Adam and Eve and featuring Bible scripture (John 1:1-5).

On March 7, 1975 Norway issued this two-stamp set (Facit #s 731-2) to commemorate the United Nations's Women's Year. Stamps depict "Three women waking with branches detail from one of the cast iron gates in the Vigeland Park, Oslo" (Facit).

A collection of Gustav Vigeland's (1869-1943) sculptures (mostly nudes) are installed in Frogner Park, also known as Vigeland Park, in Oslo. The gate photograph is from wikimedia commons.

Here is one of the four stamps (Sc #452b) from a se-tenant block of 200 escudo values issued by Chile on September 5, 1974 to publicize the national airline LAN's maiden flight to Tahiti, Fiji, and Australia. A graphic artist's concept of a Polynesian dancing woman is shown on the stamp.

This May 8, 1984 50 (pf) stamp (Mi #720) of Berlin commemorates the centenary of the electrification of Berlin. The image used is graphic artist Karl Ludwig Suetterlin's (1865-1917) allegorical representation of electric power.

Painting The Bather by Sava Sumanovic (1896-1942)

On July 15, 1982 Berlin issued a set of two stamps showing modern paintings from collections in Berlin. The 80 (pf) value of this set depicts Otto Mueller's Zwei badende Maedchen(Eng.: Two Bathing Girls). Mueller (1874-1930) was an expressionist painter and printmaker involved in the "Die Bruecke"/The Bridge movement.
