There are two versions of the 2.00 franc "zodiac" definitive of Switzerland. The first stamp, shown on the left, depicts Virgo above a snowy mountain scene. This stamp (Sc #724) was issued on February 17, 1983.

For some reason a revision (Sc #725), shown on the right, was issued on November 24, 1983. This stamp has a different mountain scene, and Virgo's facial features are more refined.

Czechoslovakia, 1973. Artwork by Max Svabinsky.

This stamp has a postmark, but the gum is intact and undisturbed. How is that possible?

^ It was "cancelled to order", which is very common on stamps from Eastern Europe during that era.
