Just to clarify, when I said I wondered if they were "rare" I was thinking - "less available to most collectors than stamps of the same years from US or the Commonwealth nations" etc. I didn't mean to imply that they would start a big bidding war at an auction or anything like that.

OK,
Here is another one. It is less political than the others - I wanted to show some of variety of the stamps from this time. It is part of a series celebrating various economic/industrial achievements:




That thing is a water-cooled electrical generator, but for some reason when I look at it I keep thinking it should be some kind of scientific outpost in antarctica. I like the color scheme - not many stamps have the green and purple combination.

I love posts like this. Stamps can really show a peek at life, can't they? I wonder what Chinese citizens would say about these now...Would they laugh like we do at our "silly" stamps? LOL!
