ebay knows what they are doing, they didn't get to be a $22 billion company by chance. Our hobby, with it's small transactions, is not consistent with
ebay's business model. Who would invest millions and millions of dollars into building a global online auction site to support a lot of transactions less than $10-$15? Who would invest large amounts of money into staffing people to mediating problematic small transactions? Which type of item would a online transaction company rather support; products like a book, DVD, or some other items which is basically the same no matter who you buy it from or an item where condition is key and where a large amount of additional knowledge is needed to properly buy and sell?
The issue here is not that
ebay is badly managed or has clueless policies, the issue is that they are heading in a direction that is not well suited for our hobby and the type of online business we want to do.
