This domestic rate stamp of private courier Pete's Post of New Zealand shows a cut lemon. The image is, in fact, an advertisement for another paying customer, Kevin Bills Media of Palmerston North, N.Z. If you make your way to his website as given on the stamp, you will get "the full dose".

These days, many private couriers are selling the stamp front to advertisers as an additional source of revenue.

In October 2003, Spain issued four computer-vended stamps showing the fruit-filled still life paintings of Belorussian artist Elena Narkevich. They are Michel ATM #s 134-7. All of these paintings were done with acrylics on canvas. They are, from top to bottom:

Bodegon ("Still Life") 1999
Frutas ("Fruits") 1996
Bodegon con Naranjas ("Still Life with Oranges") 1998
Bodegon con Tulipanes ("Still Life with Tulips) 1999

The initial posting on this thread depicts the 1997 version of the Philippines' national fruit, the mango. This stamp is from a series of small stamps which was used from 1993-8 showing various "National symbols". Sometimes the same image was used from one year to the next, and sometimes a completely different image was used.

On the "National Fruit mangoes" stamps, the denomination remains the same, but the size of image changes, the country name changes color and moves, and the Philippines flag changes size and moves.

Here are the 1993, 1995, and 1996 Philipines mangoes stamps.
