Fruit seller, engraved and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., Ltd., and issued for use in Sierra Leone on October 2, 1933 as one of a set of 13 stamps commemorating the centenary of the abolition of slavery in the British colonies (Slavery Abolition Act, 1833), and of the death of William Wilberforce (1759-1833), an English politician, philanthropist and leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade, Scott No. 157.
