I use discount, older postage all of the time... Overseas, Customs leaves these "wall-papered" packages alone; and as far as "attention" is concerned: the Post Master of a small P.O. remembered giving my package to someone whom fraudulently tried to claim that he didn't receive it

I currently use old stamps as postage. Normally I just slap on whatever makes the total I need. But one time I made a really nice cover using "Space" themed stamps like the Apollo Suyez issue with the 8 ceent moon landing issue and a few others. It made for a nice cover. The person was a stamp collector so I hope they appreciated the effort.
