P.S. Tom that's the lightest stamp killer I've seen for a while,
(Could you or would you call it a S.O.N. )

Mephisto Cigars ad on an 1893 1c Columbian PSE with a mute NYC cancel.
Possibly addressed to a stamp dealer at #32 Nassau Street. For some reason
this one reminds me of bobgggg.

This 15c Columbian was placed on a 2c Columbian PSE with a "Flying Dutchman"
ad printed on. However the cover was never sent through the mail.

The devil made me buy this one.

It is addressed to H. J. Heinz & Co., which is still in business making ketchup today.

Tom:

Regarding the 50˘ Columbia cover... I like the fact that the registration label says the full name of your country... United States of America. You do not see registration labels like that, much, eh?

The Columbian stamps also have "United States of America" fully spelled out, which you don't see on new issues.

Wonderful covers Tom, I'm jealous. What is your source for all these wonderful covers you find? A secret, or are you willing to disclose it?

No single source. Local stamp shows, stampwants, ebay, Nutmeg auctions and Cherrystone auctions.
I just keep an eye out and buy them one at a time. I bought the last one on stampwants about 2 years ago.
