Going back to the 1926 Scott (all the world in 1 volume!), catalog numbers 533 and 534 were not assigned. AND!, types VA and VII had not been cataloged yet. Some numerical gaps were always gaps and some gaps were vacated numbers, but that is too much tangent to go into.
The point being ... it can pay off to know the catalog evolution and numbering changes for specialty items.
