Great thread. I read it the other day out of curiosity and low and behold I came across a very nice hibiscus on a South Korean airmail stamp today while sorting. Thank you for the info.

Thanks, Unechan, for your work on the second stamp. Guess we'll have to hope for someday seeing the entirety of that cancel or a Korea specialist who can fill it in for us.
