The beach at Durban, South Africa, is wide but probably not very tranquil with the city in the background. 1983, I wonder how busy it is nowadays.

Another beach you might consider for a summer vacation. Lithuania has only a short stretch of beach, so it's more likely to be rather busy on beautiful days. stamp of 2004, for tourism - 'Day of Tourism' is on the 27th of September. photo of the beach at Palanga with the long jetty in the background.

A small booklet of meter stamps for the tourist season of 2017 in Portugal. Portugal's beaches can be quite small between huge cliffs as seen in the photo of Porto Covo.

The pane of six stamps issued by Guinea-Bissau (or their agency) shows the less-frequently seen lady with a parasol at the beach - it is actually a detail of 'Two Ladies at Trouville' beach. 2001

You guessed it, another Monet, this one with the gentleman strolling along with his dog. It is V Jaquemart who was already seen on page six. In the background the stroll along the cliffs - and the ladies there also have an umbrella!

Another stamp with a Lady with a parasol, this time on the background of two paintings! The Lady reading is by Monet, the couple out on a Promenade is by Auguste Renoir! Impressionists issued for Sierra Leone, 2011.
