Unconscionability, as to price, may be a better legal theory at least in California. The theory is that the price charged, in relation to actual value, shocks the conscience regardless of the subjective state of the buyer. Courts will void sales on that theory in some cases. The case probably would have to be brought within 4 years of the date of sale.
I can see that I have a niche practice in this area awaiting me in retirement. Which is still sad.
