Hi Dianne, thing is, I have not bought anything of late since the Aussie dollar nose dived, hence my duplicates are thinning I give a lot away to red cross etc.
Normally, I'd have a mix of worldwide, new, mint, used and abused. Not sure if I can reciprocate.
What is your area? still worldwide anything? or a preference.

No need to send anything to me I have more than I can handle now. If you come across any more recent Australia I have some holes to fill after 2000. Dianne |

Nice posts Rod!
I really like the purple alpine posts labels especially as each one seems to have a post bus somewhere in the picture.
I've often travelled on these bright yellow post buses. :) |

Quote: I've often travelled on these bright yellow post buses. :) Really! I wondered about that, thought it was an open top Tourist Bus. Typical Swiss beautiful scenery. I was really chuffed that 22 crows found they were trial prints. (Dummy Stamps) Swiss Postal Bus 1950 https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplace...saurer-3ct1d |

Here is an 1872 cover from Basel to my city Kolkata (pre-1876 Suisse mail to India is scarce) routed via Brindisi, with two strikes of Basel postmark dt. June 7,1872 canceling the solo franking of Helvetia 1863 1fr. Zum 36b. |

Beautiful cover Joy, looks pristine for its age. Unusual to have stamp on Left Hand Side?

Frankly before this, I had never checked the frequency of positioning of stamps on pre-UPU Suisse covers to India but it seems stamps were then normally affixed to the left. Here is an example of an 1854 cover (ex-von der Weid, ex-Hermann) from Lausanne to my city Kolkata with all 4 stamps viz., Helvetia 1854 20 Rp Zum 25 and 1854 40 Rp Zum 26×3 placed to the left. The surface mail rate from Lausanne under Suisse Zone 2 to India via Marseille and As Suways was 110 Rp per 15gm weight from Jan 1 to Dec 14,1854. So, this cover, posted on Dec 2,1854, was overpaid by 30 Rp. |

Hello. I'm making my Swiss sheets, I am in 2006 and I only collect until 2015, I have little left. I have many Swiss, 1,172 duplicates, plus FDC and other formats. Tell me if you are still missing these. Regards. |

Here is another example of a pre-UPU Suisse–India cover with stamp affixed to the left side of the cover. This is an 1856 Basel, Suisse–Mumbai cover (Hermann Coll.) via Marseille, with Helvetia 1855 1fr Zum 27C stamp placed in the top left corner. The cover also has a Suisse–France border exchange office datestamp dt. Dec 7,1856 of St. Louis in red, Port Payé ( PP) handstamp and a rhombic Affranchie à l' Étranger Jusqu'au Frontier ( A.E.J.F.) red mark of Marseille. |
