In regards to rogdcam's comment: probably +65% are Japanese and 30% or so are US (mostly post WWII).

So, another question; if a stamp is valued at $100 (Scott Catalogue) what could I expect if I sold to 1) a collector or 2) a dealer.

I know the situation will vary depending on many circumstances, but I'm just looking for a guesstimate based upon your collective experience.

Getting those stamps out of the plastic in good condition is the first job before showing them to anybody I think.Mint stamps....
Most buyers won't take a chance with stamps wrapped up like that.
