You can't be serious.

Quite serious. Devolving into nastiness in formal communication may make YOU feel better, but it accomplishes nothing.

Nasty: Highly unpleasant; Physically nauseating

Not even close.

Anyway, the subject here is the ASDA's utter lack of giving a hoot about the entire Anthony's situation. Nasty is what they are doing to all of the buyers that are being taken.

Hats off to Mike for caring.

We can get off-topic and nasty and turn this thread into personal attacks, or try to collectively figure out how we get the ASDA to address Anthony's flagrant violations of their own code of ethics. I am frustrated and I sense frustration from others on this thread, as well. Although there may never be a consensus on any one of our methods, mine included, I do believe that we all share a common cause. With that said, my takeaway is that email communication with the ASDA has proven somewhat feudal. The two emails that I sent them apparently went into the electronic circular file, as I never received any replies whatsoever, not even one of those annoying auto-replies. At least Mike33 apparently ruffled somebody's feathers enough to get some lip service....Perhaps, it is time to up the ante? Does anybody have a personal contact's phone number at the ASDA? I would be more than happy to reach out on all of our behalf's, and try to get an answer to the ASDA's inaction with this matter.

I don't see a direct contact number, but their website has a general number. You may want to start here:

American Stamp Dealers Association Inc, PO Box 513, Centre Hall PA 16828
Phone: 800-369-8207 Email: asda@americanstampdealer.com

By the way, their own website has an article entitled, "Ethics are More Important than Profits".

https://www.americanstampdealer.com....aspx?id=357

A very interesting section from that article:

"That being said, there are still some who insist on preying on the unwary. Happily we have not encountered any ASDA members who play in that manner."

The article ends with:

"The best advice that we can offer to any collector is to deal solely with ASDA members. You'll be glad you did."

Hmmm

We're serfs now?

(I think you meant "futile".)

Partime - Thank you for pointing out the hypocrisy and contradiction of the ASDA. Priceless.

Auto-correct has its merits and pitfalls. Thanks for making the clarification.
